finally for this concept development, for the research, I knew that I needed to interview some people, take different sides of the stories, different type of people. When I came back to Paris, the first person that I have interviewed was my friend Hontil. He was the reason I started this whole thing so it was only fair that I came back to him to ask more question about his experience about his construction of identity and the way he deals with his masculinity.
Then I also wanted to interview some men from my neighbourhood. Where I live can be considered as a dangerous neighbourhood or at least near some of the most dangerous places in Paris. I wouldn’t say no and I wouldn’t say yes either. Anyway, I wanted to interview some guys that we could say « from the hood » to summarise without any judgements attached to it.
